In February 2024, we secured $16,000 to meet the goal of providing 5 gallons of clean water per person, per day to serve 835 people (as part of a larger project sponsored by CharityWater and World Vision). Malawi, based in East Africa, is densely populated, and regarded as a “High Priority Country” country per U.S. Government Global Water Strategy. I learned about it during my internship with The National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Summer 2023, discussed with our team at Day Zero Water, and successfully raised funds to help create a positive difference. The project is complete and it is gratifying to hear the appreciation.
