The impetus for setting up a Water Lab in my basement was my non-profit work at Day Zero Water, which I founded in 2018. I’ve been collecting water samples from around the world and testing them for TDS, pH, conductivity, hardness and turbidity. While most of this testing was originally done at Millwood Water Treatment Plant where I have been doing voluntary work for 3 years, I established a basic functionality lab to meet the growing demand for testing water samples from schools and the local community. I thought it would be more efficient for my team at Day Zero Water to have a lab where we could identify high-level parameters before doing more sophisticated tests for hardness or lead contamination. You’ll see we have some basic wet lab equipment for titrations, distillation, and testing TDS, conductivity, pH and turbidity. Video file link is attached: https://youtu.be/X49EERxQhLI
